Talya Burg was born in Israel. She received her BSc degree in chemistry from Ariel University in 2018. At the end of 2019, Talya joined the group of Prof. Mark Gandelman as a PhD student, and is working on the coordination chemistry and catalysis of transition metals complexes with nitrenium ligands
Aleksandr Koronatov
Sasha (short for Aleksandr) was born in Kirishi, Russia (1996). He received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees at Saint-Petersburg State University, Russia. He joined Prof. Gandelman Group in Sep. 2021. At his spare time, Sasha loves playing guitar and doing sports such as running, cycling and rock climbing.
Oleg Shumski
Oleg was born in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. He received both his BSc and MSc in chemistry at Ariel University. In 2021 he joined the group of Prof. Mark Gandelman as a PhD student and is working on the synthesis of aryl fluorides (as the main project). In his free time, Oleg enjoys playing the drums, traveling, and playing video games.
Iaroslav Kutuzov
Slava (short for Iaroslav) was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. He received his B.Sc. at Saint-Petersburg State University, Russia. He joined Prof. Gandelman Group in March 2025. At his spare time, Slava enjoys birdwatching and hiking.
Sagnik Mukherjee
Sagnik was born in West Bengal, India (2000). He received B.Sc. degree from the University of Burdwan in 2021 and M.Sc. degrees from IIT(BHU) Varanasi, India in 2024. He joined Prof. Gandelman Group in August 2025.
Egor Tokhtobin
Egor was born in Irkutsk, Russia (2002). He received both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees at D. Mendeleev University (HCC RAS, MUCTR), Moscow, Russia. He joined Prof. Gandelman Group in September 2025. At his spare time, Egor practices aikido, watches anime and plays video games.
Anmol Mishra
Anmol was born in Uttar Pradesh, India (2002). He completed his B.Sc. degree at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and M.Sc. degree at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). During his M.Sc., he carried out research under the supervision of Prof. S. Nagendran focusing on organometallic chemistry. In September 2025, Anmol joined the research group of Prof. Gandelman. In his free time, he enjoys travelling, playing basketball, and spending time talking with his friends.
Iuliia Pavlenko
Iuliia was born in Vladivostok, Russia (2003). She received her B.Sc. degree at Saint-Petersburg State University, Russia. She joined Prof. Gandelman Group in October 2025.
